When you visit a Shopify storefront that has installed the GeoMatch app, GeoMatch may set the following cookie:

The cookie value is an anonymous random identifier. It does not contain personal information, browsing history, or tracking data shared with advertisers.
3. Third-party cookies
GeoMatch itself does not set any third-party cookies on storefronts. However, the Shopify storefront on which GeoMatch is installed may set its own cookies (Shopify analytics, cart session, etc.). For information about Shopify cookies, please refer to the merchant's privacy policy or to the Shopify Cookie Policy.
4. The geolocation request
Detecting your country involves a single network request to ipapi.co, made directly from your browser when the GeoMatch popup loads. This request transmits your IP address to ipapi.co but does not set or read cookies. The country code returned is used to decide which version of the popup to display, then discarded.
5. How to refuse or delete cookies
You can refuse or delete the GeoMatch cookie by any of the following means:
- Clear cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.)
- Use private or incognito browsing mode (cookies are deleted when you close the window)
- Configure your browser to block all cookies or all third-party cookies
Note that refusing the GeoMatch cookie does not prevent the popup from appearing; it just means the popup may be shown again on subsequent visits.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
